Cruise & Maritime Voyages has acquired two ships that most recently sailed for P&O Australia.

The Pacific Dawn and Pacific Aria will bring the Cruise & Maritime Voyages fleet to eight ships in 2021.

The 1,400-passenger Pacific Dawn, formerly the Regal Princess, entered service in 1991. It will sail from Tilbury, England.

The 1,100-passenger Pacific Aria, formerly Holland America Line's Ryndam, entered service in 1994. It will sail for the TransOcean Kreuzfahrten brand, replacing the 580-passenger Astor.

"We have now acquired five cruise ships in just five years and are firmly on course in carrying 200,000 passengers in 2021," said Cruise and Maritime Voyages CEO Christian Verhounig.

New ship names will be unveiled later in this month.
